Another long pending one.... clicked on our way back from Grand Coulee Dam.

I took my camera out of the case to click pictures of the colorful fall season, only to realize I missed to post this one (from our September trip).... oops!

The Grand Coulee Dam, located on the Columbia river in central Washington, is the largest concrete structure in the United States. In addition to producing up to 6.5 million kilowatts of power, the dam irrigates over half a million acres of Columbia river basin farm land and provides abundant wildlife and recreation areas.







We visited this place on our way back from Glacier National Park, and it was totally worth it. Too bad we could not stay back to watch the Laser Light Show... as we both had to get back to work the very next day.

Padmanabhapuram Palace, India

I was scanning thru my photo collection [looking for a nice MSN pic... :)] and spotted this one... and that's when it struck me that I missed posting this all-time fav!

If you happen to visit South India, or to be more specific, Southern part of Kerala or Tamil Nadu, do stop by this masterpiece.... Padmanabhapuram palace.

This trip remains close to my heart....that was my last week at Trivandrum...and I was vacating to Chennai before I traveled back to the States. We were about 8 of us (Siju's family and my family), and really enjoyed every minute of this one-day trip to the palace and Kanyakumari.

Wish I could get those golden days back.... see you soon, India !

Glacier National Park, Montana

After 9 hours of drive from Seattle (passing through Idaho and entering Montana), we arrived at the big sky country to experience the wilderness @ Glacier National Park, Montana. With over 700 miles of trails, Glacier is a hiker's paradise for adventurous visitors seeking wilderness and solitude...and we surely did love every minute there.

One of the most amazing highlights of Glacier National Park is a drive on the Going-to-the-Sun Road. Its a scenic drive that spans 50 miles through the park's wild interior, winding around mountainsides, waterfalls, rivers, wildlife, and the list goes on and on....! It took us about 7 hours to cover all vista points on this 50 miles road... and I believe that explains the stunning beauty of this part of the world.
