One of my favorite spots on the West Coast. Clicked during my visit in October 2006. Try going there once... and you will feel the power of the Ocean :-)

Downtown Seattle
Downtown Seattle, as seen from NE 45th st @ U-District, Seattle. It was a chilly evening and with all the shivering, this was the best I could get :-)

Dana Point, CA
Here's my favorite hang-out point in So-Cal... Dana Point! It's a cute little harbor on the Pacific Coast, and I've lost count of the number of times that I've visited this place :-D
My best memories are from the July 4th fireworks during 2005 & 2006... Year 2005 is special bcos that was my first weekend in the United States... Year 2006 is special too coz it was again my first weekend in the United States after a 4 month stint in India :-)
Having said that... here's a picture that I clicked on July 4, 2006. Courtesy: Ajay's Camera - Sony DSC S80.

La Push, WA
Now those of you that know me fairly well, I bet you are so very tired of my stories about Olympic Peninsula :-D Pardon me this time, but I couldn't resist sharing one among the many beautiful pictures from this place.
Here's one for you from my visit in February 2006... my first-time to the Peninsula :-). This view is from the balcony of a "little" motel we stayed at (I know!!!), in a town called La Push.
And did I mention that this place is marked a Tsunami zone? :-( So check it out while it lasts... it's about 4.5 hours from Seattle but trust me... its worth it!

Heaven on Earth - Lake Tahoe
Gana & I visited this awesome place in Dec 2005. Our goal was to visit a place that was filled with snow... :-D and Lake Tahoe didn't disappoint us.
If you get the chance to stop by San Francisco, do try and goto Lake Tahoe. It's a 3-hour drive from the Bay Area, and trust me...it's worth the drive no matter which time of the year you plan :)
And yeah, the cherry on the cake is the "gondola ride" .... they take you to the very top of the mountain.. and if you get there in winter, here's what you get to witness :-)

Cascade Loop, WA
In April '07, I managed to take a 1-week break from work, and visited Seattle (Yup...getting that vacation approved was a toughie :D) Gana & I didn't plan any big road-trips coz he can't take any break at that time of the year. However, we planned a weekend visit to the Cascades.
It's about a 3-hour drive from home...we left on a Friday night and stayed in a little town called Leavenworth in the Cascades. On Saturday morning, we checked out of the hotel and started driving towards Lake Chelan, one of the many scenic spots in the Cascades. We reached the town but cudn't find our way to the Lake :) We followed some signs that were leading us to a park... and with the number of cars driving towards the same, we were hoping to see some part of the lake atleast. (Gana is a strong believer of this logic... :-D)
We entered this little park (I don't really remember the name)... parked our car, and started walking around. And yupp... we did see a little waterfront... fresh green grass around it.... families takin a stroll .... few benches & chairs by the water .... and not to forget, a chain of mountains in the backdrop :) My Olympus did a neat job of capturing this beauty... crystal clear :)
