Kangaroo
This is another favorite from our most recent visit to the zoo .... Australasia section. Isn't he adorable? :-)
Random shot from the zoo
This one is from our most recent visit to the Woodland Park Zoo, Seattle. We were walking around the Tropical Forest and this tree caught my attention, especially the light-effect around it :-)

The last time I saw snow shower
After writing about snow-shower in my previous post, I was trying to recollect the last time I saw one.... and this picture came to my mind.
I remember sharing this with a few of you. For those who haven't seen this before, it was clicked in April 2007 when we hiked the Sol Duc Falls (yeah yeah.... Peninsula again :-D) I get excited at the sight of snow even if its miles away.... and it was a wonderful experience to actually hike in snow :)
Despite all the fun, I must admit that I was caught in two-minds : whether to click more n more pics of snow shower.. or to stuff my camera in its bag to protect the lens :-D.... yup, thats me!

Hurricane Ridge during Spring '07
This one was clicked during our second visit to the Peninsula.... in April 2007. After Lake Tahoe, this is another good place to visit if you are someone like me - someone that loves SNOW !!! :-D
Not sure if the ridge is accessible during Winter but it certainly is during March-April timeframe. So, here's another bonanza if you plan to visit Seattle around that time. :)
P.S. Snow Showers are predicted for Thursday morning PST (11/29) at Seattle ... YIPEEEEEEEEE!! Hoping to get some good shots... watch this space for more.

Deception Pass @ Skagit Valley, WA
With nothing to do on Thanksgiving Day (yeah, not a Turkey-eater)...we decided to visit Deception Pass after a couple of hours debate on Bain Bridge Island v Deception Pass.
Gana and I have visited this place sometime in April this year, but Srinath has not. This was a good place to go on a bright and sunny (and chilly) day for multiple reasons, one among them being not-so-far-from-home. :)
For those familiar with NW, this place is about 90 miles North of Seattle, in Skagit Valley. So check it out if you are in town sometime around April coz you get a double bonanza - Tulip Festival + Deception Pass :)
P.S. Aravind - Hope I have done a decent job on adding more words to my post ;-)

Narada Falls, WA
Narada Falls was named by Arthur F. Knight in 1893 after the Narada branch of the Theosophical Society of Tacoma. Narada is a Hindu word meaning 'uncontaminated' or 'pure' :)

Mt.Rainier
Our friend Srinath is moving to Seattle in a couple of weeks, and is in town this weekend to look out for apartments before relocating. We went to South Seattle cities / Tacoma to check out houses and obviously, I didn't carry my camera with me :(
It was a clear day and Mt.Rainier was fully visible. Here's what I managed to click with my BB. :)
